- developed white paper for ARPA on the use of appropriate computer
technologies in the classroom, allowing S.A.I.C. to propose a multi-million
dollar computer-based educational system for the DoDD school system in Europe.
- lead developer for an Open Windows-based GUI for Navy
Standard acoustic models for the Navy used as a validation and research
platform for several ocean sea-trials. Developed and designed several other
X-Window-based and DOS-based systems that provide access to Navy
databases, real-time environmental data files and acoustic models for active
system performance prediction and assessment (EAMOS, ASMOS, ELPPS).
- developed a tactical decision aid with an X-Window front-end as part of
the DARPA AWIL simulator. Developed programs to model source arrays for
this decision aid, with a geographic interface to standard Navy databases.
Successfully demonstrated the
decision aid in a multi-site simulation scenario.
- lead developer of a Microsoft Windows (PC)
multimedia instructional system for training acousticians.
- developed a PC-based data
analysis package for AEAS exercise Outpost Iceshelf used for on-ice data
analysis.
