Hurricane: A tropical revolving storm of high intensity (Force 12 in the Beaufort scale); this term is used in the North Atlantic and the Caribbean; the same kind of storm in the Pacific is called a typhoon; inland it is a cyclone. (Chapman Piloting: Seamanship & Small Boat Handling)

Blizzard: I'd look it up in the dictionary, but the dictionary is out in the barn and I can't even see the barn from here!
